Radio. Theater. Fairs. Hunting. Fishing. Scouts. Sports of all kinds. If it’s fun pastimes you’re looking for, you’ll find it here in the Great Room. From vintage cameras and projectors, old radios, wooden sculptures carved to meticulous detail, to fishing rods, skis and skates, bobsleds, and even some trophies, this room is full to bursting with the hobbies and passions that made life in historic North Hastings fun. More than that, many of these pastimes have transcended history, living on into the present day. It really is a great way to connect with history when you realize that 100 years ago people loved hockey just as much as you do now.
And of course, this room also is home to a spinning wheel, laundry paraphernalia and implements of various other household chores, a timeless reminder that all play and no work makes Jack a dull boy…
